Cotton Candy Monster & The Disco Pony

Spring arrived in its usual fashion, a large quantity of snow. What was unusual was the color. It was orange. I thought it was a trick of the light until I held it in my hand.

I heard music coming from down the block. I trekked through the snow and came to a building with pulsing rhythms and flashing lights. Inside, an anthropomorphic pony and a cotton candy monster were dancing to disco music. The lights emanated from the pony’s butt.

“Where did you get your vaccine?”

“I bought it from a guy in an alley. I couldn’t wait anymore.”

      1. I’m not eligible yet. I think I can get it next month. My roommate got lucky and got the one shot. She was nauseous for a day and half. Then, all better. Or do you mean my vertigo issue? That’s all better, thank you.

  1. Oh Oh Nobbin.

If I’d been drinking something I would’ve spewed. I’m getting my second shot this morning. Fortunately not from a guy in an alley. 😉 But I’ll have to check my butt for rainbows later. Love it!

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

    1. Oooh, a double Oh. Note to self: Rochelle likes the absurd. Yeah, I’ve heard you should avoid getting vaccinated by random guys in alleys, and I know from experience, one should always check one’s butt for rainbows especially before going out.

    1. “winter weird-land!” 🤣

We’re opening for all ages next month. My roommate, who works in medicine, got the one stop shot. That’s what I’m hoping for and to avoid nausea-land. Any otherworldly experiences would be a bonus.

  2. Your title was intriguing, for sure. Lights coming out of a pony’s buttt and a scammer selling Covid vaccines in an alley? Surrealistic? Maybe not as much as we’d like to believe 🙂
