In The Bucket

Officer Williams stumbled over the loose body parts. He was ordered to stay away from the investigation. Ralph was his son. He was too close.

Ralph was his son. He couldn’t stay away.

Something grabbed Officer Williams, and everything went black. He awoke in a pit with a bucket dangling over his head.

“Eat,” said a voice from above.

Officer Williams grabbed the rope and tried to climb. A pipe at the opening of the pit sprayed him with water until he fell.

The bucket descended again. This time, it held Ralph’s head.

The Fulkersons had a new plaything.
