Friday Fictioneers is hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields who provides us with a photo prompt. Each week’s challenge is to write a 100-word story inspired by the photo. Click here to play along or just read more stories.

The Theodore Debacle

He knew better. Everybody knew one couldn’t trust a Theodore. A Theodore will steal your girlfriend at the first opportunity.

Still, Ben befriended a Theodore. He tried to convince himself his pal Teddy wasn’t a real Theodore. He was a Teddy. Maybe it was because they had two kids. He thought Lauren couldn’t possibly uproot their two kids for a Theodore.

Ben blamed himself on those long, lonely nights. He got cocky and let a Theodore into his life. He deserved to have his family stolen from him.

Teddy went too far when he took off with his house.
