Friday Fictioneers: Park Anywhere

It was love at first sight. She had the kind of beauty that could make Paris forget Helen. From the moment I saw her, I couldn’t take my eyes off of her.

I stopped the car where I was and got out. I approached her. We talked. We laughed. We went for coffee. We kissed. We fell in love. A lifetime passed in the blink of an eye. We were married. Our son, Troy, was born in June. Our daughter, June, was born in July.

A crash tore me from my reverie followed by a yell. “Yeah! Park anywhere, asshole.”

  1. I love the way you unify your story with the children’s names. And to conclude a story that makes quite highbrow cultural references with the word asshole is brilliant. I’m glad I wasn’t drinking coffee at the time!
