Minute Details

“He was a genius.”

“He doesn’t look like much of a genius.”

“Well, he was.”

“Then, how’d he end up here like this.”

“You know how geniuses are, eccentric, forgetful… Sometimes great minds forget the minute details. He was focused on the bigger picture.”

“It’s a pretty big ‘minute detail.’”

“Can you at least let them clean him off the sidewalk before you criticize?”

“Too soon?”

“Too soon. Can’t we bask in the brilliance of this accomplishment for a little while?”

“That thing up there?”

“Yes, the anti-gravity bicycle. It’s a brilliant invention.”

“Yeah. If only it had a seatbelt.”
