Friday Fictioneers is hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields who provides us with a photo prompt. Each week’s challenge is to write a 100-word story inspired by the photo. Click here to play along or just read more stories.
No Phere!
“Are you taking me to an abandoned café?”
“Shut up, whore.”
“Whore? Am I getting paid for this?”
“Shut up!”
“Is that supposed to say, ‘Fear?’ Are you illiterate?”
“It’s an intentional, creative misspelling.”
“That’s not creative. That’s dumb. At least I don’t have to worry about my body being found. Your dumb ass will probably post a TikTok.”
“Bitch, I will…”
“What? I’m not aphr8de of you. I spelled afraid ‘a-p-h-r-8-d-e,’ so you could understand.”
“You know what? Just go. You’re free.”
“Did you spell that ‘p-h-r-e?’”
“Just go!”
“You’re driving me.”
“I’m not gonna drive you. … Fine!”
Great turning of tables there

I don’t know about heaven. Maybe something of that lower extremity.

There is a video. It’s hidden. You have to find it. Happy Easter!

Thank you, Rochelle. Sometimes, I just say random piffle that makes me laugh. “That’s staying in.” I’m glad someone else appreciated it.

Lots of fun. I expected a darker tale at first but loved how you lightened it up. Especially the ending.

It is a comedic twist on a dark situation. I was a little concerned it may come off as flippant, which wasn’t my intent. Thank you.

No, you got the tone just right, IMHO.
