Friday Fictioneers: Careless

Friday Fictioneers is hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields who provides us with a photo prompt. Each week’s challenge is to write a 100-word story inspired by the photo. Click here to play along or just read more stories.

Careless

Garbage stared at Tony from the steps. Disgusting. How could people be so careless?

Speaking of carelessness, he should get down there. There were too many eyes around.

“Is this the guy, Larry?”

 “Yeah, that’s him.”

“What guy? I didn’t do nothin’,” said the guy.

“I know you didn’t do nothin’. That’s why you’re here ‘cause you did do somethin’.”

“It wasn’t me.”

“We know it was you. We have the transaction record of the money deposited into your account. Who hired you? … What should I cut off first?”

“Larry. It was Larry.”

Tony turned to see Larry’s gun.
